In the future as humanity expands into the galaxy, planets are colonized and explored. Megacities are formed and there is a constant search for resources. The wealthy in society live in the higher levels of the massive towers built in the colonies. Society has turned to social castes where there is very little chance of moving up if someone already isn't on the top. The lower castes in society live in the lower levels of the tower if they're lucky but most live on the surface levels of the planet to fend for themselves. Teams of explorers fly their ships through endless landscapes in an effort to keep humanity alive.
Personal project exploring different time periods and locations. Inspired by Jack London’s writing.
As resources on Earth diminish, teams of explorers leave the planet in search for alternate sources of food and fuel. These small teams travel across the galaxy exploring many different planet surfaces in order to help keep humanity alive.
Love, Death, & Robots
Screengrabs with some of my matte paintings for David Fincher and Tim Miller’s Love, Death, and Robots on Netflix. It was great working with Blur under the art direction of Mike Hill. I was able to work on episode four called “Suits.” I’ll post the actual paintings when I’m allowed.
Farpoint Gallery 1
I was lucky enough to work on Farpoint made by Impulse Gear starting back in 2015. It was very rewarding brainstorming and quickly iterating on visuals to see Farpoint become something when it was just a loose idea in the beginning. It was an ambitious project with such a small team working directly with Sony to make a VR shooter that hadn’t been done before. It was great working on the small team being able to touch almost all aspects of the visuals from environments, characters, props, weapons, UI, and VFX.
